Book your accommodation as soon as possible

We have become aware that a very large conference (8,000 people) is starting in Glasgow on 13^th June and accommodation will fill up rapidly and become expensive especially for the dates towards the end of the KBS week. It is possible that hotels will all sell out. We are taking the following steps to ensure that no-one misses out:

• We have booked a substantial block of rooms at the Grosvenor hotel, the main hotel nearest to the conference venue. We will hold these for our volunteers and release remaining ones on a first-come, first-served basis. This hotel is otherwise full for night of 12^th June – please contact us if you would like to be on the waiting list for these rooms.
• We have held blocks of rooms (50-60 rooms each) at two hotels in the city centre (a 10-minute subway ride to the venue from St. Enoch subway station): Motel One (~£135 per night) and the Leonardo Royal Hotel (~£195 per night). We will keep these for later registrants – again please let us know if you would like us to put you on the list.
• Whilst we have large blocks on hold, we do not have enough rooms held for the 300 people we are expecting to attend. We therefore strongly urge you, if you know that you are thinking of attending, to reserve rooms yourself at the above hotels or another one nearby using the guide below, NOW (November 2024). There is plenty of availability now on a free cancellation basis on price comparison sites.
